According to Estcourt, is mentioned in the will of his brother, Joseph Gilldon, in Doay Diary, 86. According to Sister Bernadette Conroy, he managed Lord Stourton's lands as a tenant when they were sequestered in 1648. It's possbible that the 1648 Walter Barnes was a father to this one. Apparently the Barnes family had served the Stourton family since the time of the 6th Lord Stouroton.

This is purely on the basis that he was about the right age, and that he stayed in Stourton, whereas John died (possibly childless) and William went to London. I am reasonably confident that Henry, Mary and Frances BARNES (all born around the 1750's) were siblings, since they were godparents to each others' children.
